MDA INTERNET: BILINGUAL (ENGLISH-SPANISH)
Reed Group is proud to announce the first Bilingual (English-Spanish) return-to-work guideline resource. Employers and case managers working with a Spanish speaking workforce will benefit from this new product which provides users a way to clearly communicate medical and return-to-work information to Spanish-speaking supervisors and workers.
The Bilingual MDA Internet product allows seamless use of both English and Spanish versions through the same interface. For example, an English-speaking user can locate the relevant information in English and then find the Spanish equivalent without having a detailed understanding of the Spanish language.
If you are working with the Spanish-speaking workforce, take advantage of this new bilingual tool, built on the indispensable MDA return-to-work guidelines. Call 1-866.889.4449 to order or for more information.
New Updates
As part of our comprehensive on-going update process, MDA Internet (the internet version of The Medical Disability Advisor, Fifth Edition) was reviewed thoroughly for consistency, accuracy and readability. Several new conditions have been added. As always, the MDA disability duration tables are evidence-based, derived from actual observed disability duration data as reported by trained case and health care managers.
NEW DATA ON HOSPITALIZATION COSTS
Median cost and length of stay data is now available. This data derives from the National Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project, and is keyed to ICD-9-CM codes covered by the MDA.
NEW CALCULATOR ALLOWS MDA INTERNET USERS TO ADD MODIFIERS TO CPT COSTS
In 2005, MDA Internet offered the ability to identify the geographically modified Medicare RBRVS values for CPT codes. This year, we have added an interactive calculator for use in further modification of the RBRVS data to reflect state fee schedules.
BOOKMARK COMMONLY REFERENCED MDA INTERNET TOPICS
MDA Internet subscribers are able to customize their MDA Internet by bookmarking frequently used topics. Bookmarking a topic is easy: just click on the bookmark button located in the upper right hand corner of the desired topic.
