Do you know how to find exactly what you are looking for in MDA Internet?

Topics Tab

• The Topics Tab allows you to search for MDA Internet topics in several ways depending on the options that come with your subscription. The drop-down box allows you to select the index that suits your need.
• MDA Topic Name (lists all the topics in alphabetical order; provides quick access to a specific topic; please note that each topic may cover several conditions).

• MDA Topics with UMK (lists those topics that link to the Utilization Management Knowledgebase, an option available upon subscription).

• Detailed Index (an extensive index that allows you to find the most relevant topic, independent of the topic name; recommended for careful searches).

• NEW! Bookmarks (lists those topics that users have bookmarked -- also an option that is available to certain subscribers). You can bookmark your most frequently used Topics for quick access at the click of your mouse. From the Topic screen, simply click on the Bookmark button near the top right of your Topic Window:

Search Tab

• The search function allows you to search content of the MDA Internet for individual words or exact phrases.
• The Search tab defaults to Part of a Word (to aid in difficult spellings). With Part of a Word, you may add a complete word or a phrase. When you use a phrase (more than one word), every word must appear in a topic in order to be “hit.”
• Select Exact Phrase to search for phrases. Then click the Search button.
• Search results are divided into two categories:
  • Most Relevant Topics: those Conditions or Procedures containing your word or phrase in the topic’s title or “Related Terms.”
  • Additional Topics: all Conditions or Procedures containing your search criteria in the text of the MDA topic.
