Reed Group Launches New MDGuidelines Web Site with 6th Edition of Medical Disability Advisor WESTMINSTER, Colorado (May 20, 2009) -- Reed Group Ltd., the world’s most trusted provider of return-to-work information and employee absence services and solutions, announced that the new sixth edition of its popular Medical Disability Advisor is now available on a new Internet site called MDGuidelines. (www.mdguidelines.com) The new MDGuidelines site offers updated evidence-based disability durations, rehabilitation guidelines and frequency tables in an easy-to-search format. The sixth edition guidelines are based on more than one million new cases and are thoroughly physician reviewed. MDGuidelines also offers an exciting new Predictive Disability Durations tool, which allows users to enter multiple criteria for an employee on leave (e.g., age, gender, job class and additional medical conditions) and receive a more accurate prediction of when the employee may be able to return to full productivity. “Our Predictive Disability Durations tool will revolutionize disability case management,” says Jon Seymour, MD, president, Guidelines, for Reed Group. “By modeling factors that affect patient recovery times, we can give our users a much more accurate feel for when employees are likely to return to full productivity.
